Car Draw History

Percy Agriculture Society’s Elimination Car Draw was started in 1955 as a fundraiser for the Warkworth Fall Fair.  Over the past years it has grown into one of the most important sources of funding, helping to ensure it’s continued success.

With only 1300 tickets available and rising costs associated with obtaining the lottery license from Trent Hills, ticket printing, and purchasing the vehicle, it became necessary to increase the ticket price in 2023 to $30 - marking the first increase in many years.  A further increase per ticket in 2026 reflects these ongoing rising expenses.  

With multiple chances to win cash prizes throughout the draw, we hope you will continue to show your support for the Warkworth Fair by purchasing a ticket or two!  In recent years, tickets have sold out before the Fair with lots of disappointed supporters missing out. 

Proceeds from the Car Draw play a vital role in supporting agricultural and educational youth programming at the Fair.  For 2026, these include the Petting Zoo, Rock the Arts Puppets, Sheep Shearing demonstrations, and youth payouts for the Beef and Horse Shows.
